ECO-MINDS is a Franco-Brazilian project led by the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in collaboration with the São Paulo International Short Film Festival – Curta Kinoforum, as part of the France-Brazil Cross-Season of the Institut Français. It features a selection of six French and Brazilian short films on the themes of climate and ecological transition, accompanied by educational materials.

Aimed at a wide audience, this program highlights young talents and seeks to raise awareness of environmental issues. It will be screened in Brazil between August and December 2025, in several cities and festivals, as well as in the Institut Français and Alliances Françaises.

The ECO-MINDS programme

This 68-minute program includes three French short films and three Brazilian short films, either selected from the competitive sections or identified by the selection committees of the Clermont-Ferrand and São Paulo international short film festivals. The program will be distributed by Le Court.

Educational guides

Educational guides in French and Portuguese have been created by the Pôle régional d’éducation aux images, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and the Institut Français to accompany the films.
This program will be made available at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and the São Paulo International Short Film Festival, and will also be offered to all partners hosting a screening.
It will be used for film analysis sessions with teachers, cultural mediators, and young audiences.
